Warranty-authorized service provider
The go-to technicians for Fhiaba refrigerators & freezers in BC
Fix Cheetah is authorized to perform Fhiaba manufacturer-warranty repairs, and we fix out-of-warranty Fhiaba appliances with the same training and genuine parts.
Fhiaba builds nothing but refrigeration, and Fhiaba refrigerator repair is almost always column work, because its fridges are designed to be built into cabinetry rather than stand beside it. The Integrated series takes custom door panels and handles for a flush, furniture-like finish, while the X-Pro and Classic series have finished fronts. Refrigerator and freezer columns are often paired side by side, and many freezer columns include an automatic ice maker. Fhiaba's ProVent system circulates air separately in each compartment, and the electronic control watches several sensors at once. So a cooling complaint usually involves the whole climate system, not one part.
As a warranty-authorized Fhiaba service provider, Fix Cheetah handles eligible manufacturer-warranty claims as well as out-of-warranty repairs on older columns. We start by reading the control's alarms and how the temperatures are behaving, confirm the fault with proper testing, then quote before any chargeable work. Replacement parts are genuine Fhiaba components. Our technicians take care with custom panels, hinge settings and toe-kick ventilation. The Surrey team covers Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, our Whistler-based technicians look after Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton, and remote or island homes are served on scheduled trips.

5 Most Common Fhiaba Refrigerator Issues and How to Fix Them
Fhiaba fridge column not cooling enough
A built-in column breathes through the toe-kick grille, so start there. New flooring, a rolled-up mat or trim fitted too close can choke the condenser and leave the compressor running long without catching up. If the grille is clear, uneven shelves (cold at the back, warm near the door) point to a ProVent fan that has stopped or an evaporator iced over by a defrost fault. Cycling the power off and on won't cure either one. We test fan operation, defrost performance and sensor readings before replacing anything.
Fhiaba ice maker not working
The ice maker in a Fhiaba freezer column needs steady water pressure, an inlet valve that opens fully and a fill tube that isn't frozen. Check that the ice maker is switched on at the control, the bin is pushed fully home and the water filter isn't past its change date. If someone closed the supply valve during a renovation or holiday, make sure it's fully open again. When the water side is fine and the module still won't cycle, we test it and fit a genuine Fhiaba replacement.
Fhiaba integrated door sagging
Integrated doors carry the full weight of a custom panel plus everything on the door shelves. Over time the hinges shift, the door drops a few millimetres and the gasket stops sealing along the top or hinge side. You'll notice the reveal no longer lines up with the next cabinet or the door rubs. Take heavy bottles off the door shelves and check the gasket for gaps, but leave the panel screws alone, since panel and hinge settings depend on each other. We realign door and panel as a pair so the gaps match the millwork again.
Fhiaba freezer frost build up
A light, even frost after a long door opening is normal. Thick frost on the rear wall, or a frozen ring around the door, is not. The first usually means a defrost heater, defrost sensor or control fault; the second, a gasket that has stopped sealing because the door has dropped. Check that nothing in the baskets is holding the door open and that the gasket is clean and supple. Don't scrape it: that only buys a few days, and a sharp tool can puncture the refrigerant circuit. A technician should test the defrost parts or reset the door.
Fhiaba fridge alarm going off
Fhiaba controls report door-open, high-temperature and sensor faults, and they don't stay quiet about it. Start with the obvious. Is a door ajar, or did a power cut just warm the column? Close everything, silence the alarm and give it a few hours to recover. If the high-temperature warning keeps returning, or a sensor message appears while temperatures look normal, the message needs reading in context. We test the sensor and wiring behind it so a nuisance alert isn't mistaken for a cooling failure, or the reverse.
Book a Fhiaba visit and we'll find the fault, process eligible warranty work and fit genuine Fhiaba parts, with Surrey-based technicians for Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley and a Whistler crew for Sea-to-Sky homes.

Fhiaba Refrigerator Repair FAQ
Can Fix Cheetah handle my Fhiaba warranty repair?
Yes. We're warranty-authorized for Fhiaba, so eligible repairs can be processed under the manufacturer's warranty. For the booking, find the model and serial number on the rating label inside the column, and keep the dealer's invoice with the purchase date handy. If the column came with a new home, the builder's or developer's documents help establish the install date. We confirm coverage with Fhiaba before any work starts.
Is it worth repairing an out-of-warranty Fhiaba column?
Almost always it's worth a diagnosis. Fhiaba columns are built for a long service life, and replacing one means matching an exact cabinet opening and panel. We explain what failed, quote the repair before any chargeable work and use genuine Fhiaba parts.
Will my custom panel or cabinetry need to come off?
Usually not. Fans, sensors, controls, ice makers and door adjustments are done with the column in place. Some sealed-system work means sliding the unit out of its opening, and if so we tell you in advance and plan the job to protect your panels, flooring and the cabinets on either side.
