Blomberg fridge not cooling but freezer works
With Duo Cycle, the fresh food section has its own cooling, so a warm top over a cold freezer drawer usually means a fault on the fridge side alone. The usual suspects are a stalled fresh-food fan, an evaporator that has iced over, or a temperature sensor giving the control a false reading. Make sure containers aren't pressed against the rear vents and the door seals all the way round. If you can't hear the fan or there's frost on the back panel, unplug the fridge and have us test the fan, sensor and defrost parts.
Blomberg freezer drawer frosting up
Frost on the food and across the drawer front means warm kitchen air is getting in. Over-packed baskets stop the drawer closing fully, and a torn or flattened gasket won't seal even when it does. Take the baskets out, check nothing catches on the rails and wipe the gasket clean. Frost on the back wall behind the baskets is a different story. That points to a defrost heater or defrost sensor that has quit, which needs testing and replacement. Don't chip at it with a knife: the refrigerant tubing sits right there.
Blomberg ice maker not making ice
On Blomberg models with an automatic ice maker, production stops when the fill tube freezes shut, the water inlet valve weakens or the ice maker module itself fails. First confirm the ice maker is switched on, the bin is seated and the shut-off valve feeding the fridge is fully open. In a tight counter-depth opening, a kinked or undersized supply line can starve the valve and give you small, hollow cubes. If the water side checks out and still nothing drops, we test the valve and module and replace whichever one has failed.
Blomberg fridge door not sealing
On panel-ready Blombergs, the door carries the full weight of a custom wood panel, and over the years that load works the hinges and panel brackets loose. Once the door drops out of line, the gasket stops sealing along one edge. Condensation on the shelves, frost near the opening and a compressor that seems to run nonstop are the giveaways. Look at the gap between door and cabinet: is it wider at the top on the handle side? Leave the panel mounting alone. We adjust hinges and brackets together and replace the gasket if it has taken a set.
Blomberg fridge leaking water under the crispers
Each defrost cycle melts frost off the evaporator, and that water runs down a small drain tube to an evaporation pan near the compressor. When the drain clogs with food debris or freezes solid, the water backs up, pools under the crisper drawers and can eventually drip onto the floor. Empty the crispers, sponge the water out and check the fridge isn't tilting forward. If the puddle comes back within a few days, the drain needs clearing properly and the defrost system checking, because a drain rarely freezes without a reason.

My Blomberg fridge is still under warranty. What should I have ready?
You'll need the model and serial number, plus a receipt or invoice with the purchase date and dealer. On most Blomberg refrigerators the rating label is inside the fresh food compartment. Tell us when the problem started and whether the fridge is freestanding or built in, and we'll confirm coverage, open the warranty claim and order the parts the repair needs.
Why does my counter-depth Blomberg run constantly since we built cabinets around it?
It's probably short of air. Freestanding models need open space around them to shed condenser heat, and when millwork closes in the top, sides or back, that heat has nowhere to go. The compressor runs longer and can struggle to hold temperature. We check the clearances against Blomberg's installation requirements and tell you whether the fridge itself also needs attention.
Is it worth repairing a Blomberg fridge?
