Local well water, not the Metro reservoirs
Unlike most of Metro Vancouver, White Rock draws its drinking water from its own groundwater wells rather than the region's mountain reservoirs. That water carries more minerals than the soft Metro supply, so dishwashers, ice makers, water dispensers and steam ovens here can develop scale that we rarely see in Vancouver or Burnaby. Using rinse aid, running the dishwasher's cleaning cycle and replacing refrigerator water filters on schedule all help.
Salt air and beach-side living
Condos and homes close to the water are exposed to salty, damp air. Over time it corrodes exterior dryer vent flaps, garage freezer components and outdoor kitchen appliances. If a dryer vent cap near the beach is stuck shut, a dryer will overheat or take hours to finish, so we check the full exhaust path when we diagnose a drying complaint.
Hillside homes and condo access
Some of White Rock's streets are among the steepest in the region, and many view homes have kitchens on an upper level with limited parking out front. For installations or replacements, we plan the carry route in advance. In Marine Drive and Five Corners condos, let us know about any elevator bookings or parking restrictions when you schedule.

The standard Metro Vancouver inspection fee is $99 plus GST. For an eligible appliance repair, it may be applied toward the repair when the approved repair is completed by Fix Cheetah.
