Blomberg microwave not heating
The light's on, the turntable turns, the fan hums, and the coffee is still cold. That pattern usually means the magnetron, the high-voltage diode or the high-voltage capacitor has failed, and sometimes a thermal cut-out has tripped from the heat coming off the cooktop. Heat a cup of water for one minute to confirm, and check that the door closes squarely. Don't open the outer cabinet: the capacitor holds a lethal charge even unplugged. Testing and replacing those parts is technician-only work.
Blomberg microwave not turning on
A microwave that died with a pop as the door was opened or shut has usually blown its main fuse, and a worn door interlock switch is the usual reason the fuse went. A tripped kitchen breaker or a failed control board can also leave the display blank. Check the breaker and reset the power once. If it stays dead, book a repair rather than hunting for the fuse yourself. The faulty switch has to be found and replaced along with the fuse, or the new fuse blows too.
Blomberg over-the-range microwave fan not working
The exhaust side of a Blomberg runs on its own fan motor, speed relay and light circuit, so the vent can quit while the microwave still heats. Grease is a common contributor: clogged metal filters make the motor labour, run hot and get noisy. Switch off the breaker, then wash the grease filters in hot, soapy water, and replace the charcoal filter if your unit recirculates. If the fan still won't run, or won't switch off, the motor, relay or thermal sensor needs testing by a technician.
Blomberg microwave turntable not turning
If the glass tray sits still or jerks, first check that it's resting on the roller ring and that the coupler underneath is seated properly and not cracked. Food spills under the ring can also glue it in place. Clean the floor of the cavity and the roller ring, then refit the tray so it drops onto the coupler. If everything is seated and it still won't turn, the turntable motor under the cavity floor has likely worn out. Replacing it means opening the cabinet, so leave that to us.
Blomberg microwave keypad not responding
Steam from the cooktop below rises straight into the control area of an over-the-range microwave, and over time it can get into the membrane keypad or the control board behind it. You'll see dead buttons, buttons that only work with a hard press, or phantom beeps. Make sure the control lock isn't on, then switch the microwave off at the breaker for a few minutes to reset it. If the keypad still misbehaves, we test whether the membrane or the board is at fault before ordering the part.
