Factory-trained technicians
The go-to technicians for Samsung washing machines in BC
Our technicians are factory-trained on Samsung, so we know the platforms, diagnostics and service procedures, in warranty or out.
Samsung washer repair covers a wide range of machines in Canada. Samsung front-loaders include VRT Plus vibration reduction, Super Speed cycles and, on some models, an AddWash door for adding forgotten items mid-cycle. Its top-loaders mostly use an impeller instead of an agitator, and some have the ActiveWater Jet built-in sink for pre-treating stains. FlexWash models stack a small top-load washer above a full-size front-loader in one cabinet. Most current Samsung washers use a direct-drive Digital Inverter motor with no belt, and they report faults through short codes such as 4C, 5C, dC and UB.
Our technicians are factory-trained on Samsung laundry, so they know how to enter the test mode, check the motor's Hall sensor and read the error history before replacing parts. Many Samsung front-loaders in Metro Vancouver sit stacked in condo laundry closets with little room to work, and we're used to pulling and re-stacking them safely. We cover Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Langley, Maple Ridge, Abbotsford and the rest of the Fraser Valley from Surrey, and Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton from our Whistler base. Repairs are quoted after inspection and need your approval first.

5 Most Common Samsung Washer Issues and How to Fix Them
Samsung washer UB error
UB means the washer has sensed too much drum movement and stopped the spin. On top-loaders, worn suspension rods are the classic cause: they lose their damping and let the tub bang the cabinet. On front-loaders, shocks, springs or a failing bearing trigger the same warning. Unplug the washer, spread the load evenly, and check that it sits level. Try a spin with the drum empty. If UB still appears, the problem is mechanical, and the rods or shocks should be replaced as a full set.
Samsung washer 5C error
5C means the drum didn't drain. A coin, hair clip or sock in the drain pump or debris filter is the usual cause. On front-loaders, unplug the washer, put a tray and towels down, empty the water through the small drain tube beside the filter, then unscrew and clean the filter. Check the drain hose behind the machine for kinks too. If 5C comes back with the filter clear, we test the pump and the hose for a blockage or failure.
Samsung washer dC error
dC means the door or lid isn't closed or locked, so the washer won't start or continue. Laundry caught in the door, a bent striker or a lid that isn't fully down are easy things to rule out. Close it firmly and unplug the washer for a minute to reset. If dC returns, the lock assembly, a broken striker or damaged wiring where it passes the door boot is likely. Don't force the door or tape down a lid switch; a technician should test the lock circuit.
Samsung washer Sud error
Sud (shown as SUd, Sd or 5d on some displays) means the washer has detected too much foam and paused to let it settle. It's a protective feature, not a breakdown. The cause is almost always too much detergent, or a non-HE detergent, which is easy to overdo in our soft water. Let the cycle finish, then run a rinse with no detergent and use well under the cap's fill line next time. If Sud appears with correct dosing, the drain or pressure sensing needs checking.
Samsung washer loud during spin
A roaring sound that rises with spin speed usually means worn tub bearings. On older front-loaders, a corroded drum support spider can crack and break, which gives a heavy clunk and a drum that sags. Unplug the washer and turn the drum by hand: roughness suggests bearings, while a drum that moves up and down at the front suggests the spider. Check for coins in the drum folds too. We confirm which part has failed before quoting the repair.
Code still flashing after the basic checks? Our Samsung factory-trained technicians run the test mode, diagnose the cause and replace the worn part, whether it's a stacked condo pair or a family top-loader, across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and Sea-to-Sky.

Samsung Washer Repair FAQ
Why does my Samsung top-load washer keep showing UB?
Usually because the suspension rods are worn, unless you're washing a small load of heavy items like a single bath mat. Worn rods lose their damping, the tub swings too far in the spin cycle and the washer stops itself. Replacing the full set of rods usually fixes it.
What does 4C mean on a Samsung washer?
4C means the washer isn't getting enough water. Check that both taps are fully open and the inlet hoses aren't kinked. If the supply is fine, the filter screens at the hose connections or the inlet valve may be clogged or faulty, and we test them.
Can you repair one half of a Samsung FlexWash?
Yes. The upper and lower washers have their own fill, drain and drive components, so one can fail while the other keeps working. We diagnose the faulty section on its own and repair it without replacing the whole unit.
Is a Samsung washer with a motor error worth fixing?
Usually. Motor-related codes on Samsung direct-drive washers are often caused by the Hall sensor, a loose connector or the control board rather than the motor itself, and those parts cost far less. We test each one in turn and quote before any work starts.
