Warranty-authorized service provider
The go-to technicians for Frigidaire washing machines in BC
Fix Cheetah is authorized to perform Frigidaire manufacturer-warranty repairs, and we fix out-of-warranty Frigidaire appliances with the same training and genuine parts.
Frigidaire washer repair in BC means two quite different machines. There are 27-inch front-load models, many of them stacked with a matching dryer in condo laundry closets, and large-capacity top-load washers with agitators that remain popular with families. Frigidaire Gallery front-loaders add features such as steam options. Front-loaders use a door lock, a rubber door boot and an accessible drain pump filter, while top-loaders rely on a lid lock, suspension and a shifting drive. The two designs fail in different ways, so the first step is always identifying exactly which platform you have.
Fix Cheetah is warranty-authorized for Frigidaire washers, handling eligible warranty claims and paid repairs on machines past coverage. Our technicians use the washer's diagnostic test mode where available, check the pump, motor, bearings and door or lid locks, and quote before any chargeable work. Genuine Frigidaire parts are used throughout. We're comfortable working in tight condo closets and stacked pairs in Vancouver and Burnaby, serve the rest of Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley from Surrey, and cover the Sea-to-Sky corridor from Whistler.

5 Most Common Frigidaire Washer Issues and How to Fix Them
Frigidaire washer not draining
On Frigidaire front-loaders, an E21 code or water left in the drum means the drain took too long. Most of the time the coin-trap filter behind the lower front panel is matted with lint, coins and hairpins. Unplug the washer, put towels and a shallow pan down, and twist the trap out slowly to let the water run off. Clear it, then check the drain hose for kinks behind the machine. If the trap is clean and the code returns, the drain pump needs testing.
Frigidaire front load washer smells
Coastal humidity, cold washes and too much detergent leave a grey film in the folds of the rubber door boot, and mould follows. Over-dosing is easy in our soft water. Wipe the boot folds with a damp cloth, clean the coin trap, run the hottest cleaning cycle with an empty drum, and leave the door ajar between loads. Use a level capful of HE detergent or less. A boot that is torn or stained black right through should be replaced, and we check the drain path at the same time.
Frigidaire washer loud during spin
A roar that climbs with spin speed usually means worn drum bearings. On older front-loaders, water that gets past a failed tub seal also corrodes the drum support, and a broken support arm makes a heavy knock. Unplug the washer, empty the drum and turn it by hand: grinding or roughness points to bearings. Check pockets for coins too. Caught early, a bearing job is significant but often worthwhile on a newer machine, and we'll give you an honest view after inspection.
Frigidaire top load washer not spinning
When a Frigidaire top-loader fills and drains but won't spin or agitate, the lid lock is the first suspect. A worn drive component or a shifting fault can also stop the basket moving. Close the lid firmly and listen for the lock to click, and make sure the load isn't piled to one side. Unplug for a minute to reset the control. If the lid lock engages and the basket still won't turn, a technician should test the lock, the drive and the shifter in that order.
Frigidaire washer door locked
Water left in the drum, a failed door lock or a control fault keeps a front-loader's door shut. Don't pull on the handle; the hinge and the lock are both easy to damage. Wait a few minutes after the cycle, then check for water above the door rim. If there's water, drain it through the coin trap with towels down and the power off. If the drum is empty and the door still won't release, we test the lock assembly and the signal from the control.
If your Frigidaire still won't drain, spin or unlock, our warranty-authorized technicians will diagnose it in place and replace parts with genuine Frigidaire components, in homes and condos across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and Sea-to-Sky.

Frigidaire Washer Repair FAQ
What do I need for a Frigidaire washer warranty repair?
The model and serial number, plus proof of purchase showing the date and retailer. On front-loaders the label is around the door opening; on top-loaders, look under the lid or on the back. As a warranty-authorized provider, we confirm coverage with Frigidaire before any work and quote anything not covered.
Can you repair a stacked Frigidaire washer and dryer in a condo closet?
Yes. Many repairs can be done in place, and when a stacked pair needs to come apart we do it with care and reinstall it properly. Let us know about elevator bookings or parking restrictions when you book.
How can I prevent front-load washer odours?
Use HE detergent sparingly, especially with Metro Vancouver's soft water, and run a hot cleaning cycle monthly. Wipe the boot after use and leave the door open between loads. Cleaning the drain pump filter now and then helps too.
