Factory-trained technicians
The go-to technicians for Samsung dryers in BC
Our technicians are factory-trained on Samsung, so we know the platforms, diagnostics and service procedures, in warranty or out.
Samsung dryer repair usually begins with airflow. Samsung's Canadian dryers come in electric and gas versions, mostly 27 inches wide and designed to stack on or sit beside a matching front-load washer. Many have moisture-sensing Sensor Dry, and higher-end models add steam cycles to refresh clothes and cut wrinkles. Flow Sense watches airflow and warns when the vent is restricted. That warning matters, because poor airflow is behind many of the brand's heating failures. The dryers also report faults through codes such as HE for heating and tE for the temperature sensor.
Fix Cheetah's factory-trained technicians repair both electric and gas Samsung dryers, with gas work done by gas-certified technicians to BC code. In Vancouver, Burnaby and Richmond high-rises, dryers often vent through long ducts or shared shafts, so we check the venting as well as the dryer. We serve Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley from Surrey, and Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton from our Whistler base, with remote and ferry-dependent areas covered on scheduled trips. After a repair, we run the dryer and measure its temperatures to confirm the fault is gone.

5 Most Common Samsung Dryer Issues and How to Fix Them
Samsung dryer not heating
An HE code, or simply cold clothes, on an electric Samsung usually means an open heating element, a blown thermal fuse or a high-limit thermostat that tripped because the exhaust ran too hot. Gas models more often have weak valve coils, a failed igniter or a bad flame sensor. Clean the lint screen, make sure both legs of the breaker are on, and look at the outside vent hood. Gas smell? Get out and call FortisBC. Any work on the element, fuse or burner needs a technician.
Samsung dryer won't start
On many Samsung electric dryers, the thermal fuse sits in the motor circuit as well as the heater circuit, so when it blows the whole dryer goes quiet. A dE code points to the door: a broken door catch or a failed door switch means the dryer thinks it's open. A failed control board is less common. Close the door firmly, check the breaker and make sure Child Lock isn't on. If it still won't start, the switch, fuse and board need testing, and a blown fuse means the vent needs checking too.
Samsung dryer Check Flow Sense warning
The dryer has measured weak airflow through the exhaust. It's rarely the dryer's fault: lint packed in the duct, a foil transition hose crushed behind a stacked pair, or an exterior hood with a stuck flap or screen is the usual culprit. Clean the lint filter and its housing, then check the outside flap opens while the dryer runs. Keep using a badly restricted dryer and you'll overheat parts and raise the risk of a lint fire. If the warning stays on with a clear vent, we test the sensor and blower.
Samsung dryer squeaking or thumping
Samsung front-load dryers ride on two rear drum rollers and front glides, with a belt looped around an idler pulley. Worn rollers thump, a dry pulley squeals, and worn glides scrape against the front bulkhead, sometimes leaving black marks on clothes. Unplug the dryer and spin the empty drum by hand to hear where the noise comes from, and remove any trapped coins or hairpins. Once the noise is constant, we replace the rollers, pulley and belt together rather than one part at a time.
Samsung dryer tE error code
tE means the control board can't get a sensible reading from the thermistor that measures exhaust temperature, so it shuts the heat off to stay safe. The sensor itself may have failed, but a loose connector or a chafed wire in its wiring loom throws the same code, especially after a dryer has been moved or stacked. Unplug the dryer for a few minutes, plug it back in and run a short cycle. If tE comes back, we test the thermistor and wiring and replace the part that's actually faulty.
Our factory-trained Samsung technicians read the code, test the parts behind it and replace what has failed, then check the vent before signing off, across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley and from Squamish to Pemberton.

Samsung Dryer Repair FAQ
My Samsung dryer says Check Flow Sense. Is it broken?
Usually not. It means the dryer has detected restricted airflow, most often from lint in the duct or a blocked outside vent. It still runs, but it takes longer and runs hotter, which wears out heating parts and thermal fuses. Have the vent cleaned. If the warning stays on with a clear vent, we check the sensor and blower.
Why does my Samsung dryer keep blowing thermal fuses?
Because something is making it overheat, and that's usually a restricted vent. A new fuse on its own just fails again. We test the heating element, the cycling thermostat and the vent run so the repair actually lasts.
Do you repair Samsung gas dryers?
Yes. Our gas-certified technicians repair Samsung gas dryers to BC code, including igniters, valve coils and flame sensors. We check for gas leaks and confirm the burner lights and cycles properly before we leave.
