Factory-trained technicians

The go-to technicians for Samsung dishwashers in BC

Our technicians are factory-trained on Samsung, so we know the platforms, diagnostics and service procedures, in warranty or out.

Samsung dishwasher repair is a regular job for us in newer buildings. Most Samsung dishwashers sold in Canada are 24-inch built-in models with stainless tubs, ranging from front-control units in builder packages to quieter top-control and Bespoke designs. Higher-end models add StormWash spray jets, the Linear Wash system that sweeps a wall of water across the lower rack, Zone Booster, and an AutoRelease door that pops open at the end of the cycle to help drying. The controls report problems clearly, with codes such as LC or LE for leaks, 4C for water supply and 5C for drainage.

Samsung dishwashers are common in newer condos and townhomes across Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, Surrey and the North Shore, often installed under stone counters with tight clearances. Our factory-trained technicians run the service test cycle, check the leak sensor in the base and pull the unit out without damaging flooring or cabinetry. Fraser Valley calls are handled from our Surrey base, and the Whistler team covers Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton. When a repair needs a part we don't have on hand, we order it and book a return visit.

5 Most Common Samsung Dishwasher Issues and How to Fix Them

Samsung dishwasher LC error

LC (LE on some newer models) means the leak sensor in the base pan has found water, so the dishwasher stops filling and runs the drain pump. The source is usually a door gasket, sump seal or hose connection. Too much detergent, or hand dish soap, creates suds that spill into the base. Switch off the breaker, check the gasket for damage and rinse away any suds with a plain cycle once it runs again. If LC keeps returning, a technician should pull the unit out and trace the leak.

Samsung dishwasher 5C error

5C means the water didn't drain away in time. A blocked filter, a kinked drain hose or a failed drain pump leaves water in the tub, and so does a clogged garburator connection or sink drain under the counter. Switch off the power, twist out the filter cylinder and rinse it, then run the garburator and check the hose for kinks behind the toe kick. If 5C comes back with everything clear, the drain pump and its wiring need testing.

Samsung dishwasher door falls open

Samsung doors rely on a hinge spring and cable on each side. When one stretches or breaks, the door drops open or bangs shut, and the extra load can damage the hinge and throw the latch out of line. Open the door slowly and listen for a snap or scrape on one side. Don't try to hook a loose spring back on yourself, since it's under tension. We replace the springs and cables as a pair and check the latch and gasket alignment on the same visit.

Samsung dishwasher not cleaning bottom rack

On Linear Wash models a moving vane runs along a track at the back of the tub and redirects water across the rack. If the vane sticks on its track, a utensil blocks its path, or its drive fails, sections of the rack stay dirty. Debris in the filter or a weak circulation pump gives similar results. Switch off the power, check the vane track for food or broken glass, and clear the filter. If the vane won't travel freely, the drive and pump need professional testing.

Samsung dishwasher not drying

Wet dishes can come from a failed heater, a faulty temperature sensor or an AutoRelease door mechanism that no longer pops open at the end of the cycle. Heater faults usually show up as an HE or HC code. Fill the rinse aid, confirm AutoRelease or heated drying is switched on in the settings, and leave the door closed until the cycle finishes. If the load is still soaked, or a heater code appears, the heater circuit and the door actuator need testing by a technician.

Code still showing or the door still dropping? Our Samsung factory-trained technicians run the service test, diagnose the fault and replace the worn or failed parts, in condos and homes across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and the Sea-to-Sky corridor.

Samsung Dishwasher Repair FAQ

What does the LC code mean on my Samsung dishwasher?

LC (LE on some newer models) means the leak sensor has found water in the base pan. The dishwasher stops filling and runs the drain pump to protect your floor. Drying out the base may clear the code for a while, but the leak behind it is still there. We trace it to the gasket, sump, hose or a suds problem and fix the source.

Why does my Samsung dishwasher door fall open?

Because a hinge spring or cable has stretched or snapped. Those assemblies wear with use, and once one goes the door loses its counterbalance. It's a routine repair: we replace both sides together and check the door latch and gasket alignment at the same visit.

My Samsung dishwasher shows 4C. Is the dishwasher broken?

Not always. 4C means the dishwasher isn't getting enough water in the time it expects. A closed or partly closed shut-off valve, a kinked supply line or a clogged screen at the inlet valve are common causes. If the supply is fine, the inlet valve or the flow meter that measures incoming water may have failed, and we test both.
