Factory-trained technicians
The go-to technicians for LG washing machines in BC
Our technicians are factory-trained on LG, so we know the platforms, diagnostics and service procedures, in warranty or out.
LG washer repair revolves around one design choice: the direct-drive motor. LG washers include front-load and high-efficiency top-load models, the WashTower single-unit stacked laundry centre and all-in-one washer-dryer combos. Most mount the motor's rotor straight onto the drum shaft, with a rotor position sensor telling the control exactly where the drum is, and no belt or pulley. Newer models add AI DD load sensing, TurboWash spray systems and steam cycles. Problems appear as short codes: OE for draining, UE for an unbalanced load, LE for a locked motor, dE for the door and IE for water supply.
Fix Cheetah's technicians are factory-trained on LG laundry and know its test modes and typical wear points. Many of our LG washer calls come from stacked laundry closets in Vancouver, Burnaby and Richmond condos, where access, levelling and floor vibration all matter, and from busy family laundry rooms in Surrey, Langley and the Fraser Valley. Our Whistler-based team handles Sea-to-Sky homes and rental properties with heavy use. Island and remote addresses go on our scheduled-trip calendar, and we quote each LG repair after diagnosis so you can approve it first.

5 Most Common LG Washer Issues and How to Fix Them
LG washer UE error
UE means the control has detected an unbalanced load and won't spin at full speed to protect itself. Single heavy items, worn shock absorbers or a washer that isn't level on a springy wood-frame floor all cause repeat UE codes. Unplug the washer, open the door, spread the load evenly, and add a couple of towels if you're washing one heavy item. Check the feet so the machine doesn't rock. If UE shows on mixed, normal loads, the shock absorbers and suspension springs need checking.
LG washer OE error
OE means the drum didn't drain in time. On LG front-loaders the drain pump filter sits behind the small panel at the bottom front, with a short drain tube beside it so you can empty the water first. Unplug the washer, put a tray and towels down, drain through the tube, then unscrew the filter and clear the lint and coins. Check the drain hose isn't kinked or pushed too far into the standpipe. If OE returns with a clean filter, the pump needs testing.
LG washer LE error
LE means the motor couldn't turn the drum as expected. First check that nothing is jammed between the drum and the tub, and try a smaller load, since overloading can trigger it. Unplug for a few minutes to reset. If LE keeps coming back, or the drum gives a knocking start, the usual culprits are a failing rotor position sensor, a damaged stator winding or loose rotor magnets. Those sit behind the rear panel and need a technician's testing, not guesswork.
LG washer leaking
Each leak leaves a different pattern, which helps us find it quickly. A coin or bra wire can tear the door boot, a clogged detergent dispenser can overflow down the front, and a pump filter cap left loose after cleaning will drip at the bottom. Unplug the washer, check the boot folds and the filter cap, and flush the dispenser drawer under a tap. Use an HE detergent at a light dose. Water appearing from under the cabinet with no obvious source needs a technician to open it up.
LG washer smells
Front-loaders seal tightly, and coastal humidity, doors left shut and over-dosed detergent in soft water let residue and mould build in the door gasket. When the tCL reminder appears, the washer is asking for a Tub Clean cycle. Run it with an empty drum, wipe the gasket folds and clean the pump filter, then leave the door and drawer ajar between loads. If the smell is coming from a gasket that's torn or stained deep black, replacing it is the lasting fix.
Code still coming back after these checks? Our LG factory-trained technicians use the washer's test mode to find the failed part and replace it, in condos, family homes and rentals across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and Sea-to-Sky.

LG Washer Repair FAQ
What does tCL mean on my LG washer?
tCL is a reminder, not a fault. The washer is suggesting a Tub Clean cycle, which runs hot with an empty drum to clear residue from the tub and gasket. Run it with a washer cleaner or as your manual describes, and the reminder resets.
Is it worth replacing the bearings on an LG washer?
It depends on the washer's age and condition. A loud roar that rises with spin speed usually means worn tub bearings, and on many LG front-loaders the bearings are serviced along with the rear tub assembly. We give you a clear quote and an honest view on whether it's worth doing.
Can you repair an LG WashTower in a tight laundry closet?
Yes. A WashTower is one tall unit, so it usually needs to slide forward for rear access or drum work. Tell us about tight doors or low clearances when you book, and the technician will plan the visit and protect the flooring.
My LG washer is still under LG's warranty. Should I call you?
Start with LG for faults covered by its manufacturer warranty, since LG arranges covered service. If the warranty has ended, or you decide to go ahead privately, our factory-trained technicians will diagnose the washer and quote the repair for your approval.
