About Frigidaire

Frigidaire began in 1916 as the Guardian Frigerator Company and adopted the Frigidaire name in 1919, after General Motors co-founder William Durant invested in it. Under GM ownership the brand became so familiar that many people called any refrigerator a Frigidaire. In 1986 its then-parent, White Consolidated Industries, was bought by Electrolux, the Swedish appliance group that still owns Frigidaire today.

Do you do Frigidaire warranty repairs?

Yes, we're warranty-authorized for Frigidaire. On a fridge the model and serial label is inside the fresh-food section, usually on a side wall; on a range, look behind the storage drawer or around the oven door frame. Send those numbers with your receipt and we'll confirm coverage first.

Can my Frigidaire freezer go in an unheated garage?

It depends on the model. Your owner's manual lists the room temperatures the unit is designed for, and some freezers are built for wider swings. Outside that range, cold or hot garages can cause temperature problems, and we can check whether a fault lies with the freezer or its location.
