Warranty-authorized service provider
The go-to technicians for Frigidaire dryers in BC
Fix Cheetah is authorized to perform Frigidaire manufacturer-warranty repairs, and we fix out-of-warranty Frigidaire appliances with the same training and genuine parts.
Frigidaire dryer repair covers both electric and gas models, from stackable 27-inch dryers built to sit on a matching front-load washer to Frigidaire Gallery dryers with sensor drying and steam options. Most Frigidaire dryers carry the drum on glides at the front and a bearing at the rear, so a noisy or scraping drum often comes down to those wear parts. Gas models add an igniter, flame sensor and gas valve coils; electric models rely on a heating element and a set of thermal safety devices. And behind a lot of complaints sits the vent.
As a warranty-authorized Frigidaire provider, Fix Cheetah handles eligible warranty claims as well as paid repairs on older dryers. Gas-side work is done by gas-certified technicians to BC code. Before quoting any chargeable work, we test the heating circuit, safety thermostats and sensors and check airflow through the vent, and repairs use genuine Frigidaire parts. Our Surrey base serves Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, our Whistler-based team covers Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton, and more remote areas get scheduled visits.

5 Most Common Frigidaire Dryer Issues and How to Fix Them
Frigidaire dryer not heating
On an electric Frigidaire, an open heating element or a blown thermal fuse is the usual reason the drum turns with no heat. On gas models, you may hear the burner try and fail, which points to weak gas valve coils, or the igniter may not be working at all. Check that both halves of the double breaker are on and that the lint screen is clean. If you smell gas, get out of the house and call FortisBC from outside. Gas parts and element testing are for a technician.
Frigidaire dryer squealing or scraping
A high squeal that starts as the drum gets moving, or a scraping noise near the door, usually means the front drum glides have worn through, letting metal rub on metal. A rear drum bearing that's run dry adds a squeak or growl, and an old idler pulley chirps. Unplug the dryer and check for coins or a bra underwire caught at the drum seal. If the noise stays, we replace the glides, bearing and belt together so you don't pay for a second visit a few months later.
Frigidaire dryer taking too long to dry
Two cycles for one load usually means air isn't moving. Lint in a long or crushed vent run, a flattened foil hose behind a stacked pair or a jammed exterior flap all keep the moisture inside. Dirty moisture sensor bars, coated with dryer-sheet residue, can also end the cycle while clothes are still wet. Clean the lint screen, wipe the sensor bars with a little rubbing alcohol and check that the outside hood opens. A restricted vent is a fire risk, so have hidden duct sections cleaned professionally.
Frigidaire dryer won't start
If the display lights but nothing turns, a failed door switch, start switch or drive motor is likely. If nothing lights at all, check the breaker first, then suspect the thermal fuse, which on many Frigidaire dryers cuts the motor circuit as well as the heat. Make sure the door shuts with a firm click and that the control lock isn't on. Past that, the door switch, fuse and motor need testing by a technician, and a blown fuse always means the vent should be checked too.
Frigidaire dryer shutting off mid-cycle
A dryer that runs for a while, stops, then restarts after cooling is usually overheating. A restricted vent makes the high-limit thermostat trip, and an aging drive motor can trip its own internal thermal overload. A failing thermistor sometimes feeds false readings to the control board as well. On an electric model, unplug it and clean the lint screen and transition hose; don't pull out a gas dryer yourself because of its flexible gas connector. If it keeps stopping, the motor, thermostat and thermistor need professional testing.
From a squealing Frigidaire Gallery drum to a gas model that won't light, we find the cause and fit genuine Frigidaire parts, under warranty where eligible, for homes across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and the Sea-to-Sky.

Frigidaire Dryer Repair FAQ
How do I arrange a Frigidaire dryer warranty repair?
Book online or call with the model and serial number from the label inside the door opening, plus proof of purchase showing the date and retailer. We're warranty-authorized for Frigidaire, so we confirm coverage and complete eligible repairs under warranty. Anything outside coverage is quoted before work begins.
Do you repair Frigidaire gas dryers?
Yes. Igniters, gas valve coils, flame sensors and gas connections on Frigidaire gas dryers are handled by our gas-certified technicians to BC code. If you smell gas at any point, get everyone out and call FortisBC's emergency line before you book anything.
How often should a Frigidaire dryer vent be cleaned?
Clean the lint screen after every load and have the full vent run checked at least once a year, more often in condos and townhomes with long vent paths. Restricted venting is the main reason Frigidaire dryers take too long and keep blowing thermal fuses.
