Factory-trained technicians
The go-to technicians for LG dryers in BC
Our technicians are factory-trained on LG, so we know the platforms, diagnostics and service procedures, in warranty or out.
LG dryer repair often covers more than the machine in the laundry room. LG sells electric and gas front-load dryers in Canada, the dryer half of its WashTower units, and TurboSteam models that need their own water supply. Sensor Dry uses moisture bars inside the drum to end cycles when clothes are dry, while Flow Sense monitors exhaust airflow and posts d80, d90 or d95 when the vent is badly restricted. Temperature sensor faults appear as tE1 or tE2. A PS code on electric models points to a power supply problem rather than a failed dryer.
Our technicians are factory-trained on LG laundry, and gas dryers are handled by gas-certified technicians working to BC code. Since so many LG dryer complaints start in the vent, we look at the whole exhaust run, from the lint screen to the wall or roof cap. That matters in older Vancouver homes with long ducts and in condos with shared or lengthy runs. We serve Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley from Surrey and Sea-to-Sky homes from our Whistler base, with remote and island trips booked ahead.

5 Most Common LG Dryer Issues and How to Fix Them
LG dryer d80, d90 or d95 code
Flow Sense is telling you the exhaust is roughly 80, 90 or 95 percent blocked. Lint-packed ducting, a crushed transition hose behind the dryer, or a wall cap jammed with lint or a bird's nest are the usual causes; the dryer itself is rarely at fault. Clean the lint screen, then check that the outside flap opens freely while the dryer runs. Clearing the code without fixing the vent just brings it back, and a restricted duct is a lint fire risk. Long or hidden runs need professional cleaning.
LG dryer not heating
On electric LG dryers, an open heating element or a thermal fuse that blew after an overheating episode is the usual cause. A PS code is different: it means the dryer is getting the wrong supply voltage, often because one half of the double breaker has tripped. Switch the breaker fully off and back on, clean the lint screen and note any d80-type warnings you've seen lately. If heat doesn't return, the element, fuse and thermostats need testing by a technician, and we confirm incoming voltage before replacing anything.
LG gas dryer not igniting
If the drum tumbles cold and you can hear the dryer trying to light, weak gas valve coils are a likely cause. If nothing happens at all, the igniter or flame sensor is the suspect. Check the breaker and the lint screen, and don't pull a gas dryer out from the wall yourself, since the flexible gas connector can be damaged. Smell gas? Leave right away and contact FortisBC from outside. Every gas component is tested and replaced by our gas-certified technicians, never by guesswork.
LG dryer clothes still damp after Sensor Dry
Sensor Dry decides when to stop by reading moisture bars inside the drum. Fabric softener and dryer-sheet film coat those bars, the dryer reads damp clothes as dry, and the cycle ends early. A restricted vent leaves loads damp for a different reason: the moist air can't get out. Unplug the dryer, wipe the bars with rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth and clean the lint screen. If loads are still damp, we test the sensor circuit and thermistor and check the exhaust run.
LG dryer squealing or thumping
A squeal that starts with the drum usually comes from a dry idler pulley, while a steady thump at each rotation points to flat-spotted drum rollers. A frayed belt can slap or chirp. On a WashTower, these noises travel through the whole column and can sound worse than they are. Unplug the dryer and check the drum for coins, buttons or a sock stuck at the seal. Rollers, pulley and belt are wear parts, and on a well-used LG it usually makes sense to replace them together.
Factory-trained LG technicians diagnose both the dryer and its vent run, then replace whatever part has failed, for condos and houses across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and the Sea-to-Sky corridor.

LG Dryer Repair FAQ
Is it safe to keep using an LG dryer with a Flow Sense warning?
Not for long. A restricted vent makes the dryer run hotter and longer, wears the heating parts and lets lint collect where it can catch fire. Clean the lint screen and check the outside cap. If the warning stays, have the duct cleaned or inspected properly.
Do you repair LG gas dryers?
Yes. Our gas-certified technicians service LG gas dryers to BC code, including igniters, valve coils and flame sensors. If you ever smell gas near the dryer, leave the area without switching anything on or off and call FortisBC's emergency line before booking a repair.
What do tE1 and tE2 mean on my LG dryer?
Both point to the temperature sensor circuit: the thermistor itself or its wiring. The dryer stops heating to protect itself because it can't read temperature reliably. We test the sensor and its wiring and replace whichever has failed.
