Factory-trained technicians
The go-to technicians for LG wall, steam & speed ovens in BC
Our technicians are factory-trained on LG, so we know the platforms, diagnostics and service procedures, in warranty or out.
LG oven repair is mostly built-in work. LG and LG Studio wall ovens come in single, double and combination formats, the combination models pairing a microwave above a full convection oven in one chassis. Features include ProBake Convection, InstaView windows, air fry modes and a hidden bake element under the oven floor that makes the cavity easier to wipe clean. Because a wall oven sits in a closed cabinet cut-out, it has a cooling blower that moves heat away from the woodwork. Each cavity in a double or combination unit has its own heating parts, sensors and relays on a shared control.
Fix Cheetah's technicians are factory-trained on LG cooking appliances and are careful with built-in installations, from protecting surrounding cabinetry to supporting the oven's weight when it has to slide out of its cut-out. We work in Vancouver and North Shore kitchen renovations, newer homes in Surrey, Langley and the Fraser Valley, and Sea-to-Sky homes covered by our Whistler-based team. Remote and island properties are served on scheduled trips. Each repair is diagnosed first and quoted for your approval before work begins.

5 Most Common LG Wall Oven Issues and How to Fix Them
LG double wall oven not heating
In an LG double wall oven, the upper and lower cavities have separate elements, sensors and relays sharing one control. When only one oven stops heating, the fault sits in that cavity's circuit, usually a failed element or a relay on the board that no longer switches. Check whether the dead cavity is showing a timer, lock or Sabbath setting, then reset the breaker. If one oven works and the other doesn't, we test that cavity's element and relay before giving you a quote.
LG oven bottom not heating
LG hides the bake element under the oven floor so the cavity is easier to wipe clean. The trade-off is that it can fail without any visible damage. You'll notice pale-bottomed pies, bread that never browns underneath and long preheats, while broil still works normally. Try a bake test with an oven thermometer on the lower rack to confirm. Replacing the hidden element often means sliding the oven partly out of its cut-out, which we plan for at the visit, so tell us the model when you book.
LG oven F9 error code
F9 on an LG oven is a door lock fault: the lock motor or its switch didn't complete its travel, usually at the start or end of a self-clean. Let the oven cool fully, then turn the breaker off for a few minutes and restore power to reset it. Check that nothing is caught in the door or the latch slot. If F9 comes back, or the door stays latched on a cold oven, the lock motor, a switch or the wiring between them needs replacing.
LG wall oven cooling fan loud
The cooling blower keeps heat away from your cabinetry and LG's electronics, and it normally runs on for a while after cooking. Worn bearings make it hum, grind or rattle. A failed blower can let the oven overheat its controls or trip a thermal cut-out mid-bake, so the oven goes cold partway through dinner. If it's noisy every time the oven runs, or silent while the oven is hot, book a repair. The blower sits above the cavity and usually needs the oven slid forward.
LG combination wall oven microwave not working
The microwave half of an LG combination wall oven has its own magnetron, high-voltage parts and door switches. It can stop heating, or refuse to start, while the oven below works perfectly. Check that the door shuts firmly and try heating a cup of water for a minute. Never take the cover off, because the high-voltage capacitor holds a dangerous charge. We test the microwave section on its own with high-voltage safety procedures, so the oven side isn't disturbed.
Our factory-trained LG technicians diagnose each cavity on its own, replace only what failed once you've approved the quote, and service built-in ovens across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and the Sea-to-Sky.

LG Wall Oven Repair FAQ
Does my LG wall oven have to be removed to fix it?
Not always. Sensors, door parts and some controls can be reached from the front. Work on hidden bake elements, wiring or the cooling blower often needs the oven slid forward out of the cut-out, which our technicians do with care for the cabinets and trim.
Why does the fan keep running after I turn the oven off?
That is normal. The cooling fan keeps running until the electronics and surrounding cabinet have cooled to a safe temperature. It is only a concern if the fan runs indefinitely on a cold oven or never runs at all.
Is a combination wall oven repaired as one appliance?
It shares a chassis and control, but the microwave and oven sections have separate heating systems. We diagnose each section on its own, so a microwave fault does not mean replacing parts of the oven, or the other way around.
