Warranty-authorized service provider
The go-to technicians for GE dishwashers in BC
Fix Cheetah is authorized to perform GE manufacturer-warranty repairs, and we fix out-of-warranty GE appliances with the same training and genuine parts.
GE dishwasher repair covers a wide spread of machines, from builder-grade condos to custom kitchens, in front-control and hidden top-control models with plastic or stainless tubs. GE has introduced features such as Deep Clean Silverware Jets and Bottle Jets for hard-to-reach items, and the GE Profile line adds Dry Boost for better drying on plastics. Older GE models used a hard food disposer that chops debris, while newer ones rely on manual filters. Many GE dishwashers also use a check valve in the drain path to stop dirty water flowing back, and it can stick.
Fix Cheetah is warranty-authorized for GE and handles eligible warranty claims alongside paid repairs on dishwashers out of coverage. We use GE's service test modes where available, test the pumps, heater, sensors and door latch, and quote before chargeable work, using genuine GE parts. Builders, property managers and retailers rely on us for this work across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley from our Surrey base. Our Whistler-based team covers the Sea-to-Sky corridor, and outlying communities are served by scheduled visit.

5 Most Common GE Dishwasher Issues and How to Fix Them
GE dishwasher not draining
GE fits a check valve, a small flapper at the drain pump outlet, to stop dirty water flowing back. When it sticks open, drained water falls straight back into the tub and the pump gets blamed for a fault it doesn't have. A clogged filter, a blocked air gap or debris in the drain pump impeller cause the same symptom. Switch off the breaker, clean the filter assembly in the tub floor, then run the garburator before starting a cycle. If water still pools, we test the pump and the check valve separately.
GE dishwasher won't start
On GE top-control models the keypad lives on the door edge and only works with the door latched, so a dishwasher that looks dead often isn't. Check the display for a lock indicator (holding the lock button for a few seconds usually clears it), shut the door firmly and confirm the breaker is on. Give it a moment after closing before you press Start. If the lights stay off or the cycle won't begin, the door latch switch, the keypad or the control board needs testing by a technician.
GE dishwasher not drying
Wet plastics are the classic GE complaint. Empty rinse aid, a failed heating element, a high-limit thermostat that has tripped or, on GE Profile models, a Dry Boost fan fault will leave the load damp. Fill the rinse aid, choose heated dry or Dry Boost, and unload the bottom rack first so cups on top don't drip onto it. Some moisture on plastics is normal. If glasses and plates are dripping too, a technician should test the heater, the thermostat and the fan circuit.
GE dishwasher leaking
Water under the door usually comes from a worn door gasket, a cracked tub seal or suds from the wrong detergent. A dishwasher that isn't level lets water gather at one front corner and creep past the seal, which is common after flooring work. Switch off the power, inspect the gasket for splits and food buildup, and use a dishwasher detergent only. Place a level on the open door to check it sits flat. If it still leaks, we pull the unit out and trace the water before replacing seals.
GE dishwasher not cleaning top rack
The upper spray arm and the Bottle Jets get their water from a feed tube that connects at the back of the upper rack. If the rack is off its track, the connection is misaligned or the arm nozzles are blocked, the top of the load stays dirty while the bottom comes out fine. Slide the rack fully back, clear the arm holes and make sure tall items aren't blocking the arm. Top rack still dirty after that? A technician should check the wash pump's pressure and the feed to the upper arm.
When a cleaned filter and a reset haven't fixed it, book our warranty-authorized GE technicians. We diagnose GE and GE Profile dishwashers on site and fit genuine GE parts throughout Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and the Sea-to-Sky corridor.

GE Dishwasher Repair FAQ
What should I have ready for GE dishwasher warranty service?
The model and serial number, proof of purchase with the date and retailer, and a description of the problem. The label is on the left or right edge of the tub opening or inner door. We confirm coverage with GE Appliances as a warranty-authorized provider and quote anything outside coverage first.
Do you repair GE Profile dishwashers as well as standard GE models?
Yes. GE Profile is part of GE Appliances, and we service Profile features such as Dry Boost and hidden top controls along with standard GE models.
Why is there water in the bottom of my GE dishwasher?
Usually a clogged filter or a stuck check valve. Clean the filter, scrape heavy food off plates, and run hot water at the sink before starting. If water still sits in the bottom after a full cycle, the drain pump or the drain path needs a technician.
