Factory-trained technicians
The go-to technicians for Miele wall, steam & speed ovens in BC
Our technicians are factory-trained on Miele, so we know the platforms, diagnostics and service procedures, in warranty or out.
Miele oven repair goes well beyond a standard wall oven. Miele's built-in convection ovens offer features such as Moisture Plus, which adds bursts of steam during baking, and pyrolytic self-cleaning. Combi-steam ovens combine convection heat with full steam cooking, dedicated steam ovens cook with steam alone, and speed ovens pair convection with microwave power for faster cooking. Miele's steam models generate steam outside the cooking cavity, fed from a removable water container or, on plumbed models, a water line. They're designed in matching lines such as ContourLine, PureLine and ArtLine to sit side by side in a cabinet wall.
Fix Cheetah's technicians are factory-trained on Miele cooking appliances and follow Miele's service procedures, including descaling, steam system checks and high-voltage safety on speed ovens. We work in custom kitchens across Vancouver, West Vancouver and North Vancouver, in homes from Richmond and Burnaby to Surrey, White Rock and the Fraser Valley, and in Sea-to-Sky homes covered by our Whistler-based team. Island and remote properties are served on trips booked in advance. Each repair is diagnosed and quoted before any chargeable work begins.

5 Most Common Miele Oven Issues and How to Fix Them
Miele steam oven descale warning
Minerals build up in a Miele steam generator over time, even on Metro Vancouver's soft water, and the oven tracks steam use and prompts you to descale. Ignore the prompts long enough and it can lock out steam programs until the job's done. Run the descaling program with Miele's descaling product, following the steps on the display from start to finish. If steam stays weak after a complete descale, or the warning comes straight back, the steam generator or the pump needs testing by a technician.
Miele steam oven water container error
A message about the water container usually means it isn't seated, its seal is worn, or the oven can't draw water from it. Take the container out, check the seal and outlet for scale or grit, refill with fresh cold water and push it fully home. On plumbed models, make sure the supply valve under the cabinet is open. If the error keeps appearing, the level sensor, the pump or, on plumbed ovens, the inlet valve needs testing. Those parts are behind the cabinet front, so leave them to us.
Miele oven not heating evenly
Miele convection ovens heat through a ring element around the rear fan. If cakes rise on one side, roasts take longer than they used to, or the oven creeps up to temperature, the fan element, the fan motor or the temperature sensor is the usual suspect. Make sure you've chosen the mode you meant to, since Miele offers many, and that no tray is blocking the rear fan cover. An oven thermometer gives a quick comparison. We check actual cavity temperature against the setting before naming a part.
Miele oven door locked after self-clean
Pyrolytic cleaning heats a Miele oven far beyond cooking temperatures and keeps the door locked until it cools. If the cycle ends with a fault, often F33 when the lock won't release, or the door stays latched on a cold oven, the door lock, cooling fan or a sensor has struggled with the heat. Turn the oven off, wait until it's fully cool and check nothing is trapped in the door. Don't force it. We diagnose the lock and cooling fan and replace whichever failed.
Miele speed oven microwave not working
In a Miele speed oven the microwave and convection systems are separate, so convection can keep working after microwave power has gone. If food stays cold in microwave or combination modes, the magnetron, high-voltage components and door switches are tested. Check the door closes cleanly and that you haven't left metal cookware in for a microwave mode. Never open the casing; the high-voltage capacitor stays charged after the oven is switched off. We follow Miele's high-voltage safety procedures for the repair.
Steam, speed or convection, a Miele oven deserves Miele's own service procedures. Our factory-trained technicians follow them, replace failed parts once you've approved the quote, and cover Vancouver and the North Shore out to Whistler.

Miele Oven Repair FAQ
How often should a Miele steam oven be descaled?
Descale when the oven prompts you, using Miele's descaling product as the manual describes. How often depends on how much you use steam and the hardness of your water. Skipping it shortens the life of the steam generator and can lock out steam programs.
Do you repair Miele speed ovens and combi-steam ovens?
Yes. We service convection ovens, combi-steam ovens, steam ovens and speed ovens. Speed ovens are handled with high-voltage safety procedures because of their microwave components, and steam models get a full check of the water and steam system.
Is pyrolytic cleaning hard on my Miele oven?
The oven is designed for it, but the extreme heat still puts stress on the door lock, seals and cooling fan. Wiping up spills regularly and running pyrolytic only when needed reduces wear, and the cooling fan should run for some time after the cycle ends.
