About Miele

Miele was founded in 1899 by Carl Miele and Reinhard Zinkann in Herzebrock, Germany, and its first product was a cream separator. Washing machines followed soon after, and the company, now headquartered in Gütersloh, is still owned by the Miele and Zinkann families. Its long-standing motto, 'Immer Besser' (Forever Better), sums up an approach built on testing appliances for long service lives and making many of its key components in-house.
