Factory-trained technicians
The go-to technicians for Whirlpool ranges, cooktops & rangetops in BC
Our technicians are factory-trained on Whirlpool, so we know the platforms, diagnostics and service procedures, in warranty or out.
Whirlpool range repair is often about straightforward parts done right. Whirlpool makes freestanding and slide-in ranges in Canada in electric coil, smoothtop, induction and gas versions, plus gas and electric cooktops. Many newer ranges offer convection, Air Fry or Frozen Bake modes, and a lot of Whirlpool ovens use AquaLift, a low-temperature self-clean that uses water and heat instead of the very high heat of a traditional cycle. Whirlpool ranges share oven controls, sensors, igniters and elements with Maytag and KitchenAid models. Coil-element ranges are still very common in BC rental suites because they're simple and inexpensive to maintain.
Fix Cheetah's factory-trained technicians repair Whirlpool ranges and cooktops in houses, condos and rentals across Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Delta, Maple Ridge and Abbotsford, and our Whistler team handles Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton. We read the control's fault codes, test sensors and elements with a meter, and confirm the actual oven temperature before and after a repair. Gas ranges and cooktops are serviced by gas-certified technicians to BC code. You get a clear explanation of the fault and a quote before any work starts.

5 Most Common Whirlpool Range & Cooktop Issues and How to Fix Them
Whirlpool gas oven won't light
This is one of the most common Whirlpool gas oven repairs. The glow-bar igniter weakens over time: it still glows bright orange, but it doesn't pull enough current to open the gas valve, so the oven stays cold or lights after a long delay. If the broiler works and bake doesn't, the bake igniter is the likely culprit. Check the breaker and that the clock is lit. Leave the igniter and valve alone; a gas-certified technician replaces them. If you smell gas, leave and call FortisBC.
Whirlpool electric oven not heating
Look at the bake element first. A blistered, split or sagging element is easy to spot and is one of the most common reasons a Whirlpool electric oven won't heat. Turn the range breaker fully off and back on, because a half-tripped breaker can keep the clock lit while the elements get nothing. If the oven has a hidden element under the floor, or the element looks fine, the cause isn't visible. We then test the element along with the control board relays and the wiring.
Whirlpool stove coil burner not working
Coil-top Whirlpool ranges are everywhere in BC rental suites, and their weak point is usually the connection rather than the coil. A coil that heats on and off, or a receptacle with burn marks, means the terminal block has overheated. With the breaker off and the coil cold, pull the coil out and check its prongs for pitting. Trying it in another position of the same size shows whether the coil or the receptacle is bad. A burner stuck on high points to a failed infinite switch, which we replace.
Whirlpool oven F3 error code
Codes in Whirlpool's F3 group, such as F3E0 or F3E1, point to the oven temperature sensor or its wiring: F3E0 means the control sees an open sensor circuit, F3E1 a shorted one. The same sensor fault can make the oven run hot, drift or shut off mid-bake. Switch the breaker off for a minute and back on to clear the code, and check nothing has knocked the thin sensor probe on the oven's back wall. If the code returns, we test the sensor, its wiring and the control.
Whirlpool stove igniter keeps clicking
A Whirlpool gas cooktop clicks whenever a spark switch thinks a knob is in the light position. Spilled food or moisture around a burner, or water running down behind a knob during cleaning, is the usual reason. Turn everything off, let the cooktop dry for a few hours and make sure the caps are seated. Pull the knobs straight off and wipe beneath them, since that's where cleaner collects. Clicking that persists after all that means a failed spark switch, which our gas-certified technicians replace.
Our factory-trained Whirlpool technicians read the fault codes and test parts before replacing them, in houses, condos and rental suites across Metro Vancouver, the Fraser Valley and from Squamish to Pemberton.

Whirlpool Range & Cooktop Repair FAQ
Why does my Whirlpool gas oven take so long to light?
Whirlpool gas ovens use a glow-bar igniter that has to reach a certain current before the safety valve opens. As it ages, the current drops, so the oven lights slowly or not at all, even though the igniter still glows. Replacing the igniter is the usual fix, and we test the valve as well.
Is AquaLift self-clean causing my oven problems?
AquaLift runs at much lower temperatures than a traditional self-clean, so it puts less stress on door locks and controls. It does need water poured into the oven floor and some wiping afterward. If it isn't cleaning well, the issue is usually how it is used, but we can check the bake element and sensor if the oven isn't heating properly.
Do you repair Whirlpool induction ranges?
Yes. We test the induction power boards, coils, cooling fans and touch controls on Whirlpool induction ranges and cooktops. Glass tops can also be replaced when the part is available.
