About ASKO

ASKO's story starts in 1950 in Vara, a small farming community in western Sweden, where Karl-Erik Andersson built a washing machine for his mother and turned it into a manufacturing business. ASKO still designs and builds appliances in Vara today. The brand became part of the Slovenian appliance group Gorenje in 2010, and Gorenje has itself been owned by China's Hisense since 2018, which places ASKO within one of the world's larger appliance groups.
