About Beko

Beko was founded in Istanbul in 1955 as a partnership between businessmen Vehbi Koç and Leon Bejerano, and the name combines the first letters of their surnames. It grew into the flagship brand of the Koç Group's appliance business, long known as Arçelik, which now operates internationally under the Beko name. The group also owns Blomberg and Grundig, and it describes itself as Europe's largest white goods company by sales volume.
