Falmec Appliance Repair Vancouver

Warranty-authorized service provider

The go-to technicians for Falmec appliances in BC

Fix Cheetah is authorized to perform Falmec manufacturer-warranty repairs, and we fix out-of-warranty Falmec appliances with the same training and genuine parts.

Falmec designs and builds its range hoods in northern Italy, and the brand is known for sculptural island and ceiling-mounted hoods that double as a kitchen's design centrepiece. Select models include Falmec's E.ion air-purification system, which uses ionization to help reduce odours, and many offer remote or touch controls, perimeter extraction panels and dimmable lighting. All that sophistication means Falmec appliance repair often involves electronics as much as motors.

Fix Cheetah is warranty-authorized for Falmec, and we understand how these hoods are mounted, wired and ducted. Ceiling and island installations can be heavy and awkward to access, so we plan the visit carefully and protect your countertops and finishes. We service Falmec hoods in Vancouver, West Vancouver, North Vancouver and Richmond, and we take Falmec calls up the Sea-to-Sky in Squamish and Whistler and out through the Fraser Valley.

About Falmec

Falmec was founded in 1981 by Danilo Poser in the countryside around Vittorio Veneto, in northern Italy's Treviso province, where the company is still based. Its earliest hoods were made from hammered copper to suit the wooden kitchens of the time, and Falmec was among the first Italian makers to embrace stainless steel as the range hood became a design object in its own right.

Today Falmec concentrates on designer cooker hoods and downdraft extractors, including wall, island, ceiling-mounted and built-in models. Its research focuses on air quality and comfort at home, with features such as the E.ion system, which uses ionization to help reduce cooking odours, and NRS noise-reduction technology for quieter running. Falmec hoods reach Canadian kitchens through Pacific Specialty Brands and specialty appliance dealers.

Falmec range hoods & ventilation

Common Falmec problems we fix

Falmec hood remote not working

Weak batteries are the simple fix, but a failed receiver board or lost pairing can also stop the hood from answering. We test the receiver and re-pair when possible.

Hood fan stuck on one speed

A faulty speed-control board or relay can lock the blower on a single setting. Replacing the board restores full variable-speed operation.

E.ion system warning

On E.ion-equipped hoods, a warning can indicate the ionizing module needs cleaning, maintenance or replacement. We check the module and its power supply.

Hood lights flickering or dim

LED drivers exposed to cooking heat can degrade and cause flicker. A replacement driver usually solves it without replacing the whole light panel.

Grease dripping from the hood

Overloaded perimeter filters or condensation in cold exterior ducts can drip back onto the cooktop. Filter service and proper duct insulation help prevent it.
