About Liebherr

Liebherr was founded in 1949 by Hans Liebherr, whose first product was a mobile tower crane. Refrigerators followed in 1954, built in Ochsenhausen in southern Germany, which is still the heart of the company's appliance division. The group is owned by the Liebherr family and run from Bulle, Switzerland, and it makes everything from mining trucks to aircraft components alongside its fridges and freezers.

In Canada, Liebherr sells refrigeration only: built-in and freestanding refrigerators, bottom-freezer and side-by-side combinations, freezers and wine refrigerators, along with professional units for commercial use.
