About Fisher & Paykel

Fisher & Paykel was founded in Auckland, New Zealand in 1934 by Woolf Fisher and Maurice Paykel, who began by importing refrigerators and washing machines before manufacturing their own. The company introduced the DishDrawer dishwasher in the late 1990s and later developed ActiveSmart refrigeration. Haier acquired Fisher & Paykel Appliances in 2012, and the brand now operates as a premium, design-led label within the Haier group.
