Expert repair for Midea appliances, in and out of warranty
Midea is a Chinese manufacturer based in Guangdong and one of the world's largest appliance makers. Along with selling under its own name, Midea builds products that are sold by many other brands, so its engineering shows up in more kitchens than most people realize. In Canada, Midea-branded refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, compact laundry, ranges and microwaves are popular choices for rental properties, laneway homes and budget renovations, so Midea appliance repair for us often means a landlord with a tenant waiting.

About Midea
Midea was founded in 1968 by He Xiangjian in the town of Beijiao in Shunde, Guangdong. It began making plastic bottle caps and other small goods before moving into electric fans and then air conditioners. Through acquisitions such as Toshiba's home appliance business in 2016 and the German robotics maker KUKA in 2017, Midea has grown into one of the largest appliance groups in the world.
Midea Canada sells refrigerators, chest and upright freezers, dishwashers, front-load and top-load laundry, electric ranges and microwaves under its own name. The brand is also well known in Canada for air conditioners, including a U-shaped window unit that lets the window close through the middle, as well as dehumidifiers. Midea products are sold through major national retailers and online.

Midea microwave repairCommon Midea problems we fix
Midea fridge clicking on and off
Short cycling often points to a dirty condenser, a failing start device or a temperature sensor giving the control bad readings. Left alone it wears out the compressor.
Midea dishwasher not draining
A few centimetres of water left after the cycle means the filter or drain path is blocked, or the pump is weak. Cleaning the filter is the first step.
Convertible freezer stuck in one mode
Some Midea freezers can run as a fridge or freezer. A faulty sensor or control board can keep the unit stuck in one mode or holding the wrong temperature.
Microwave dead after a loud pop
A loud pop followed by no power often means a blown internal fuse, sometimes caused by a failed door switch. Diagnosis must be done safely due to stored high voltage.
Compact washer unbalanced error
Small drums struggle with single heavy items like bath mats. Repeated imbalance errors on normal loads suggest worn suspension or a faulty sensor.
