About JennAir

JennAir was founded in Indianapolis in 1947 by Louis J. Jenn, who started out making ventilation fans. That background in moving air led to the brand's signature product, the downdraft range and cooktop with built-in ventilation. Maytag acquired the company in 1982, and it became part of Whirlpool Corporation when Whirlpool bought Maytag in 2006. Today JennAir is Whirlpool's luxury kitchen brand.

In Canada, JennAir appliances are offered in two design styles, the more traditional RISE and the minimalist NOIR.
